Highland Cross is unique coast to coast challenge taking place on 23rd June 2007. An annual duathlon taking participants from Morvich to Kintail going across some fantastic scenery. This 20 mile run and 30 mile bike ride is for a mix of charities inlcuding Highland Hospice, National Trust for Scotland, Abbeyfield Ballachulish, Visual Impairment Services and Volunteering Hospice. This blog is the story of the team "Return of the Pink Panters", their training, their fundraising and their journey.
Norna Hall is celebrating the arrival of her bus pass by planning to complete the Highland Cross coast to coast challenge (walk 20 miles, cycle 30 miles) as a warm up to cycling to the 4 compass points of the British mainland (a journey of about 1300 miles) . The charities she is supporting are MacMillan Cancer Care and the nominated Highland cross charities. Her self imposed target is £1000. (more about Norna)
Sara Christie is her daughter who after years of trying to be sensible has finally given in to the inevitable genetic insanity to join her Mother for the first time on this crazy event... (more about Sara)
Mick Heath is also doing his first Highland Cross but has a wealth of experience in athletic type stuff under his belt and has been drafted in to the family reunion to keep the average time up! (more about Mick)
