With views like this and an understanding companion, training isn't all pain.This was taken 6miles into a 10mile circuit of our local hill....glorious.
Managed a very hilly 20 on the bike yesterday. A nasty shock to the system changing from the easy gears of the winter bike to the big gears on the road bike...still its all miles under the belt...or something.

I have this horrible feeling tha the easy winter bike referred to is the one Ive been lent... Im not finding it that easy though! Oh well - what can I say? Mother's obviously fitter than me! {sigh}
Dont panic....the bike referred to was an old tourer fitted with a mountain bike chain ring ......mother is not fitter, just has more years of learning sneaky tricks.
